Access Points
Essential Access
As with all enclosed games areas, careful consideration should be given to the type of entrance and exit points that would best suit the installation and the client need for both users and maintenance requirements.
Easy access and exit is essential and whether this is in the form of open access or a gate, the entrance point should be wide enough to allow easy wheelchair access.
Possible Problems
Occasionally there could be problems associated with bullying and/or intimidation and consideration should be given to having a bolt hole gate to allow persons backed into a corner in bullying situations to escape from the MUGA.
It is therefore recommended that escape routes are provided through a second exit point or through the goals.
